Nuremberg, Germany | March 14-16, 2017
The event “Embedded World 2017” took place from the 14th to 16th of March 2017 in the Nürnberg Exhibition Centre, at Nürnberg, Germany. The event is the leading international fair for embedded systems, be it security for electronic systems, distributed intelligence, IoT or e-mobility – the embedded world trade fair enables you to experience the whole world of embedded systems, discover the innovations from the embedded sector, meet experts and acquire new customers. The Symbionica Consortium, as a witness of the potentialities of 3D Computer Vision technology in AM industry, has been represented by IRIDA Labs.
During the event, Mr. Tsagaris had the opportunity to meet with high-profile, executives and engineers, people from big companies in the field of embedded systems and electronics, like Analog Devices, Cadence and Xilinx, presenting the technology that is been developed within the Symbionica project for embedded image processing and 3D modelling. As a result, Xilinx recently announced its partnership ecosystem in the fields of computer vision, which also includes Irida Labs for developing solution in the fields of FPGAs and CPU/FPGA SoCs (https://www.xilinx.com/products/design-tools/embedded-vision-zone/quote.html).
The event was a well-attended event in the field of Embedded Computer Vision with 1,020 exhibitors and numerous speakers from 42 countries will be presenting the entire spectrum – ranging from construction elements through modules and full systems, operating systems, hard and software to services – to more than 30,000 trade visitors and approximately 1,700 conference participants from 73 countries.
