Santa Clara, USA | May 2016
The event “Embedded Vision Alliance Summit” took place on May 2016 in the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. The event has been organized by the Embedded Vision Alliance Summit committee (Mr. Jeff Bier, Embedded Vision Alliance Founder) with the aim to
- Learn the latest applications, techniques, technologies, and opportunities in computer vision and deep learning,
- See demos of the latest technologies that enable vision-based capabilities and
- Meet leading technologists and innovators in this fast-growing field. The Symbionica Consortium, as a witness of the potentialities of 3D Computer Vision technology in AM industry, has been represented by IRIDA Labs.
During the event, Mr. Tsagaris and Mr. Bassalos from IRIDA Labs presented the high-level design and development of the vision S/W system adopted in the Symbionica machine tool, mainly able to perform 3D modelling via camera sensors for assisting a 3D printing process. The Summit was a well-attended event in the field of Embedded Computer Vision with about 900 participants. More details can be found here http://www.embedded-vision.com/summit/2016/highlights
