Lake Faak, Austria | May 15-20, 2016
At this workshop FRAMOS was participating in different discussions related to medical computer vision, medical stereo tracking or machine learning, however without poster presentation or having a talk themselves at Lake Faak in Austria, from May 15 to 20, 2016.
The workshop offered the opportunity to gain some insights into visual software aspects of interest and relevant for the EU Horizon 2020 – research and innovation framework programs BOREALIS and SYMBIONICA. Especially the contact to Tolga Birdal, a subject matter expert for point cloud registration, was enlightening and offered alternative approaches for resolving current issues. He later on joined various discussions concerning the vision work packages to consult with regard to specific 3D Computer Vision tasks. Hence this workshop served as valuable scientific exchange platform for the two mentioned projects above.
