Brussels, Belgium | February 2, 2016
The event “3D-Printed in Europe – Additive Manufacturing and 3D-Printing challenges in the EU” took place on the 2nd of Febrary 2016 in the Covent Garden Building, in Brussels. The event has been organized by the European Commission Directorate General Research and Innovation (DG RTD) with the aim to propose an exhibition of companies and research institutes active in the field of Additive Manufacturing. The Symbionica Consortium, as a witness of the potentialities of European AM metal industries, has been represented by IRIS.
During the conference, important and significant testimonials from the European Commissions intervened to stress the importance of the EC activities and support addressed to this emerging technology. Participants to the exhibition had the possibility to discover and appreciate some of the most brilliant examples of projects funded thanks to the successful Horizon 2020 work programme on research and innovation, among which Symbionica concept stands out for its innovation and benefits to people.
