Birmingham, UK | September 25-27, 2017
The TCT Show took place from the 25th to the 27th of September at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. The show gathered together world leading businesses from across the 3D printing, additive manufacturing, CAD/CAE, metrology and inspection industries, along with traditional manufacturing technologies such as casting and CNC machining. As designers of ground-breaking new AM technologies, The Symbionica Consortium was represented by ITI.
The show gave ITI’s Development and Technical Sales team the ideal opportunity to highlight the progress and innovations made by the Symbionica Consortium to companies such as Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems and Audi, who all actively use additive manufacturing technologies in the design and production of their products. The TCT show always attracts a wide range of companies from varying industries. The 2017 event attracted almost 10,000 visitors and more than 250 exhibitors from over 50 countries, including Renishaw, Canon, GE Additive, Desktop Metal and Materialise.
Running alongside the exhibition was an extensive programme of talks and lectures on emerging additive manufacturing technologies, including some from hospitals such as the Maxillofacial Laboratory from Morriston Hospital Swansea who spoke about how 3D printing is being used in Maxillofacial Reconstruction, and companies such as MediSieve who discussed innovation and barriers in the design, testing and manufacturing of 3D printed medical devices.
